Before scheduling a clinic start-up consultation, we recommend that the person running the IV infusion service for your clinic attend our Fundamentals seminar. From a medical-legal perspective it is also a good idea for the medical director to attend, as they will be prescribing and signing off on treatments. This is essential for patient safety and to allow you to have a better understanding of the basics of clinic operation. What is the most effective next step to insure your IV center is set up correctly?
Enlist one of our highly experienced consult team members to assist you in transforming your designated space to an Infusion Center.
Choose from the following options:
Our Remote Consults are accomplished via combinations of electronic and online communications that will allow us to clearly understand what your clinic needs are and design a program that fits your practice and clinic space optimally.
We require the ability to connect with an audio/video system that will allow viewing of your space and transmit clear images and audio. We will be providing real-time video assessment of your clinic space.
Jump start your Infusion Center with the power packed Three-Day Power Consult!
This is intended for someone just starting out that may need guidance on creating the designated space, planning out the workflow, and developing a process that will assist in creating an environment of safe care, and a successful infusion center. Plan for the provider and primary IV team being available for 4 hours per day via two-way communication. These hours can be scheduled in advance.
The process will include:
The consult team member begins with 2 pre-consult phone calls prior to the three-day remote visit. During this time your needs will be discussed, intended protocols will be planned, and goals will be determined. Ordering of supplies should take place in order to allow for real-time practical guidance during the three-day consultation. The consult team member will assist in this process.
The Three-Day Power Remote Consult visit begins with the IV room and mixing room set up. If a hood has been ordered and has arrived in clinic, the mixing area will be established. If no hood, or if hood will be ordered later, the mixing area will be defined. Consult team members focus for the first two days is to ensure all equipment, supplies, and furnishings create a safe, efficient, and comfortable Infusion Center. On the third day, a mock run is recommended. This will be with remote supervision by our Consult Team Member. We suggest having staff and/or family members scheduled to “practice” IVs on. During this day, the practitioner mixes, starts the IVs and infuses with expert remote guidance and support. This practical day establishes an optimal workflow and allows the practitioner the step by step practice of scheduling, signing consents, mixing, starting and stopping IVs, handing out patient education, and establishing emergency plans.
Following the Three-Day remote consultation, we will include three follow-up, post-consult phone calls to refine, discuss, and evaluate the process created.
Prior to purchasing the Three-Day Power Remote Consult, two forms must be filled out, signed, and returned. We will review the documents and ensure that you are a candidate for the Remote Consultation.Purchase 3-Day Power Consult
