Jump start your Infusion Center with the power packed Three-Day Power Consult!
The remote visit at 4 hours per day, via audio/video system, combines evaluation of the Infusion Center for workflow, comfort and safety.
This is intended for someone just starting out that may need guidance on creating the designated space, planning out the workflow, and developing a process that will assist in creating an environment of safe care, and a successful infusion center. Plan for the provider and primary IV team being available for 4 hours per day via two-way communication. These hours can be scheduled in advance.
The process will include:
- 2 Pre-consult phone calls
- 3 Days of remote set-up and practical guidance
- 3 Post-consult phone calls
The consult team member begins with 2 pre-consult phone calls prior to the three-day remote visit. During this time your needs will be discussed, intended protocols will be planned, and goals will be determined. Ordering of supplies should take place in order to allow for real-time practical guidance during the three-day consultation. The consult team member will assist in this process.
The Three-Day Power Remote Consult visit begins with the IV room and mixing room set up. If a hood has been ordered and has arrived in clinic, the mixing area will be established. If no hood, or if hood will be ordered later, the mixing area will be defined. Consult team members focus for the first two days is to ensure all equipment, supplies, and furnishings create a safe, efficient, and comfortable Infusion Center. On the third day, a mock run is recommended. This will be with remote supervision by our Consult Team Member. We suggest having staff and/or family members scheduled to “practice” IVs on. During this day, the practitioner mixes, starts the IVs and infuses with expert remote guidance and support. This practical day establishes an optimal workflow and allows the practitioner the step by step practice of scheduling, signing consents, mixing, starting and stopping IVs, handing out patient education, and establishing emergency plans.
Following the Three-Day remote consultation, we will include three follow-up, post-consult phone calls to refine, discuss, and evaluate the process created.
Prior to purchasing the Three-Day Power Remote Consult, two forms must be filled out, signed, and returned. We will review the documents and ensure that you are a candidate for the Remote Consultation.
