Description
Jump start your Infusion/Shots Center with four consult phone calls and three days of onsite setup and practical orientation.
The process begins with two phone consults plus email/text communication prior to the three-day onsite visit. During these calls, the Consult RN will coordinate which IV protocols are appropriate for your practice. This establishes the goals and parameters of your clinic and determines what needs to be ordered. Accounts with vendors and pharmacies are created and ordering takes place. Detailed instructions are provided outlining what is required prior to the onsite visit.
The onsite visit begins with IV room and mixing room setup. If a hood has been ordered and has arrived at the clinic, the mixing area will be established. If no hood is present, or if it will be ordered later, the mixing area will be defined. The Consult RN’s focus during the first two days is to ensure all equipment, supplies, and furnishings support a safe, efficient, and comfortable infusion clinic.
Day three consists of a full clinic dry run. Staff or designated participants may be scheduled to practice IVs. During this day, the practitioner mixes, starts, and infuses IVs with expert guidance and support. This practical session establishes workflow and provides step-by-step experience with scheduling, consent forms, mixing, IV initiation and completion, patient education, and emergency protocols.
Following the three-day onsite visit, two follow-up calls are included based on the needs of the practitioner. Reasonable email and text support is also included during this period.
